CORE PROGRAM
We offer an 8-month full-stack web development program once a year in both Brussels and Antwerp.
Our program is free. We teach refugees, newcomers and ‘anderstalige’ jobseekers with limited access to further education or the job market in Belgium. The course is open to anyone staying in Belgium.
A technical background is not necessary if you want to apply to HackYourFuture core program.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
We provide an environment for self-directed learning of the fundamentals of full-stack web development. We are not just a school, we are a learning community, supported by a network of skilled volunteer coaches and mentors from the tech industry. HackYourFuture core program requires 30 hours of independent study per week, of which 4 hours are on-site workshops on Sundays. You are responsible for your own learning. Together, we will discover state-of-the-art tools and frameworks, industry best-practices, and experience working collaboratively in a modern development team.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS
Applying to our program consists of four important steps.
Step 1 - The application
To access our application form, please click here. While completing the form, you will need to submit a motivation letter that addresses specific questions and your CV. It is important to ensure that both documents are prepared carefully. Once you have submitted the form, you will receive a confirmation email from us.
Step 2 - The explore module
To familiarise yourself with being a HackYourFuture student, we ask you to complete the introductory module. The module is your first look at what being a developer is, and at how the HackYourFuture program works. We advise you to start this module right now as we expect you to have this knowledge to complete the assignment. There are tips at the end of the module on what to do to increase your chances of succeeding.
Step 3 - The technical assignment
You will receive your tech assignment by email. You will have around 3 weeks to complete it. The assignment consists of implementing all the knowledge you gained in the introductory module. It is important that you take this seriously. We advise you to block these 3 weeks in your agenda and spend at least 4 hours a day on it.
An online meeting is organized in case you have any questions
Step 4 -The interview
If you perform well on the technical assignment, you will receive an invitation to an face to face interview. During the interview, we will talk about your background, motivation, and the technical assignment. Be sure to be well-prepared for it!
In case you are not selected for our upcoming class, we will direct you to our partners when relevant and you may reapply for the next opportunity!
5 MONTHS FRONT-END DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
HackYourFuture, in collaboration with Bruxelles Formation, is launching a 5-month full-time Front-end Development training that includes an internship opportunity upon completion.
You will learn how to create a responsive website using HTML to structure content, CSS to handle visual style, and JavaScript to develop interactive experiences. You will also learn React, a “must-have” skill for front-end developers.

2 MONTH BACK-END DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
HackYourFuture, in collaboration with Bruxelles Formation, is organising 2-month full-time Back-end Development training that includes an internship opportunity upon completion.
In this training you will learn Node.js, one of the most popular server-side platforms. The training covers all the basics of Node.js and its architectural concepts to help you create your own web applications using Node.js.
